Aputure Nova P600C RGBWW 600w LED Soft Light

Aputure comes in yet again with a new and hugely improved release which is the Aputure Nova P600C. Is it the latest and greatest? That is to be determined but here is what we have so far… and it’s looking promising…
What’s New?
- The Aputure Nova P600C has a new 600W RGBWW chipset making it the brightest 2×1 LED soft panel on the market (as of the time of writing), boasting up to 2,298 lux / 215 fc @ 3 m / 6500 K. That is pretty much two times as bright as the P300C! 🤯
- It is the first Aputure fixture to feature multiple light engines and pixel control via the built-in effects or DMX.
- Unlike the P300C, it will have a detachable diffuser to give you the option of a harder light.
- The yoke has also seen an upgrade upon the P300C, now with a curved design like the LS600D/X Pro, which maintains ample tilt maneuverability when using modifiers.
- The control box has also been updated with contact pins built directly into the lightning clamp for a cable-less connection.
- It will also integrate out of the box with Aputure Sidus Link which allows you to wirelessly network with other Sidus-enabled lights via the Sidus Link mobile app. It will still have 5-Pin DMX512 and in addition, lighting techs can also control it wirelessly using its built-in Lumenradio CRMX.

P600C vs P300C vs S-60C
Aputure are definitely making their mark in the world of LED lighting for video/cinema; their Nova series often compared to the ARRI SkyPanels. In some ways the Nova series could be the better option. However for now we can only compare what we have on paper as we do not have the lights available to test side by side and in real world use.

Accessories
Light Modifiers
Accessories and modifiers have not yet been announced by Aputure but we imagine they will be similar to the offerings available for the P300c. Third-party brands like DoPchoice and Chimera will have their own options.
Battery Power
Similar to the LS600D Pro, the Aputure Nova P600C has a 3-Pin XLR 48V/15A DC battery input. To power it with a battery, you will need a system that can sustain 720w of power at 48V/15A. You may have seen the Aputure 2-bay power station for the P300C however this will NOT sustain the required load. You will need a block battery or 4-bay V-mount battery station that can supply the required load to safely power the Aputure Nova P600C.
Stands
The Aputure Nova P600C is a big boy so you’ll need to come equipped with a ‘junior’ stand if you want to use this light. We have some great options from Kupo such as the Kupo 542MB and the Kupo 483T.
Pricing & Availability
The Aputure Nova P600C will retail for $5,495.00* (NZD) and with Aputure’s hard shell rolling case it will go for $5,995.00* (NZD). It is expected to be available in Q4 of 2021. Visit our online store where you can place an order. We will have demo/rental units available upon release.
