DZOFILM Vespid Cyber Full-frame Prime Lenses

DZOFILM has launched its new Vespid Cyber Prime Full-frame lenses that have been specifically designed to work with the new DJI RS 3 Pro and the DJI LiDAR Range Finder (RS).
The Vespid Cyber Primes feature a unique data interface connection port on the lenses themselves. This allows the lens to output the focusing and aperture data which can be applied in post-production and virtual production. When used with the DJI LiDAR Range Finder (RS) and the RS 3 Pro, you don’t need to calibrate the lenses as the connection automatically talks to the system. You just simply attach a cable from the lens to the DJI focus motor, and that, in turn, communicates directly with the LiDAR system.

The lenses will have three different focal lengths: 35mm, 50mm, and 75mm. All three lenses are T2.1. The lenses will be available in either PL or EF mount.

They are all reasonably lightweight at 1.15kg and under which makes them suitable for use with a small digital cinema camera or a mirrorless hybrid, coupled with the DJI RS 3 Pro.
The DJI LiDAR Range Finder (RS) enables users to do extremely precise autofocus when their camera is mounted onto the DJI RS 3 Pro, even when dealing with fast-moving subjects.

The range finder features a built-in camera with 30mm focal length and 70° field of view to ensure accurate focus. It also features wide and spot modes so operators can either autodetect focus or adjust focus manually. It is compatible with the RS Focus Motor to provide accurate cinema-style autofocus when you’re using manual lenses. The range finder mounts on your RS stabilizer or camera using its cold shoe or 1/4″-20 thread, and it powers via a USB Type-C power cable, making for a well-integrated autofocus addition to your camera.
Compared with conventional focusing technology, the LiDAR focusing system does not need to rely on the surface texture of the subject. This is especially useful in low-light environments or complicated scenarios with multiple subjects and results in exceptionally stable focus in the footage.
